Internal Steering Committee
Internal Steering Committee

Purpose: The Internal Steering Committee (ISC) facilitates scientific integration and synergy functions of the TRiM program as well as to ensure sustainability of the Research Cores. The ISC provides input needed to adjust core services in a timely and responsive manner based on input from members providing input and to identify gaps in expertise to be filled by newly hired Junior Investigators and collaborative partners. The ISC also hosts the virtual weekly Journal Club discussions occurring every Friday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 p.m.

Members: The ISC is chaired by Dr. Khrys Duddleston at UAA with members including the Research Core Directors, Core Key Personnel, Project and Pilot Project Leaders, and Core Users.

Meetings: The ISC meets every other month and attendance is encouraged to attract interest in hibernation metabolism, microbiome and translational/clinical research opportunities as well as to promote collaboration and transparency. Meetings are virtual and meeting agendas are posted on the website and at the ISC Meeting google folder, along with upcoming Journal Club discussions. All are welcomed.

Next meeting is set for  Friday, March 8, 2024
